Contest---Untravelled Road Band Giveaway

Happy Memorial Day!! I want to give a big thank you to everyone and their families who have served or are currently serving in our armed forces. You've made a tremendous sacrafice.
Thank you!!

This coming Saturday my cousin Jeff and his girl Judy are getting married. I'm sorry to say Lenny and I can't attend the wedding, but in honor of this fabulous event I'm having a three day contest. The prize?
Each day I'm giving away the CD titled "Live at RA Fountain." Jeff, Judy and Rex are the members of The Untravelled Road Band. The link is at the right. Check it out.

Here's how the contest works.
Each day I"ll post a sentence...but the sentence won't be finished. You finish the sentence in the comment box and your name will be in the drawing. Every night at 11:00 p.m. I'll pull a winner. Because the prize is the same every day, you can only win once, but keep commenting. I'm sure we'll have fun.

So here goes with today's sentence.

I'll never forget my wedding because........................

(and if you haven't had a wedding talk about any wedding!!)

Let's here those endings!!!!

Lindi,

I'm sorry you can't be at the wedding with your family.

I have a question about your other manuscript. What happened? Your meter was up to 25% and I never saw it go to 100 before you started another manuscript. I bet you thought I wasn't paying attention, right?

Jenn,

I scrapped that idea for now. Long story. But I had another idea I had written the 1st chapter on. So I"m working on that. I've been working with a book Missy told me about. The Story Within Guidebook. Basically, the other book didn't have a story!! Imagine!
So now, I feel like this new story has a good story. So I'm running with that. I've self imposed a deadline of end of August for the 1st draft. I also have an appointment with Melissa Endlich at Nationals so I can pitch this to her. Then I can pitch it at ACFW also.

Thanks for noticing. I still would like to finish the other but I need to rethink the whole thing.

I'll try it...

I'll never forget my wedding because my mother claimed to have her dress money stolen (she spent the money my fiance' sent and bought a dress at Goodwill) and my aunt embarrassed my hubby by pinching his butt in our wedding photos! But hey, Mom's dress looked great, lol!

I'll never forget my wedding because . . . in spite of all the confusion and scheduling issues with out of town guests, a florist that mis-timed their day, and a dear caterer who ended up pulling double-duty, when the doors were opened for me to descend the isle and meet my sweet fiance, the colors, candles, and toole/tuille/tuile were gorgeous beyond anything I'd expected and served as a true pattern for our life—lots of teamwork for a hope-for goal that exceeds expectations and makes life worth the effort.

I'll never forget my wedding because we got married on the spur of the moment, with another couple in a chapel in the desert. We've been married almost 37 years.
