My Word of the Year

I'm a day late! Apologies. But not sure anyone is reading this blog anyway. :)

So my WOTY is:

Renew!

Dictionary.com defines it several ways:

1. To begin or take up again

2. To restore or replenish

3. To revive or reestablish

I'm viewing my WOTY as a spiritual renewal. Not that God has every left me. But I'm to be reminded that He never leaves us. His spirit within us is always renewing us to be the person He wants us to be.

We have continual renewal through Him. I tend to forget that. When I worry, I'm forgetting that He is faithful. When I choose a wrong path, I'm forgetting to look to Him for the way to go. When I say things I shouldn't I'm forgetting to wait for His words.

The list can go on and on.

Psalm 51:10New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

So, this is where I'll live in 2015.

What about you? Do you have a word?

Comments

Amen! That's a great word. God never leaves us. If we feel alone, it's because we have stepped away.

Today is the day the world becomes aware of what is going on and commits to taking a stand to stop this injustice.

Put a red X on your hand, on your shirt, on your car---help spread the awareness and join the fight to free the 27 million people held in slavery today!

Healing Promises-Amy Wallace

I'd like to introduce to you Amy Wallace, Rita Award Nominee for Ransomed Dreams.
Today we are talking about her second book, Healing Promises which will be available April 15th. I'll be drawing for a free copy tomorrow morning. So leave a comment today and check back to see if you are the lucky one to receive this great book.

I had the privilege of asking Amy a few questions.

Belinda: What was the biggest difference in writing Ransomed Dreams, then Healing Promises?

Amy: When I first wrote Ransomed Dreams, I knew nothing and had a ball just getting the story on the page. I also had a number of years to hone my craft and then rewrite the story under the guidance of my incredible editor.

Writing Healing Promises was done with a great deal more knowledge of the publishing world and skills needed for writing well. It was also written during a time of intense physical pain and spiritual searching. Due to all that, it was less than a thrill ride. But the experience taught me even…

Rich in Hope--Coming November 2014

Book 2 of the Richness in Faith series is coming soon--and I'm VERY excited. Jenny and Stephen's story is one of hope-something we all  need at one time or another.
Blurb-- When beautiful underwear model, Jenny Harris, is scarred from a botched facial surgery she finds herself distraught and unsure. Her best friend, Katherine, offers her wildlife photographer brother’s waterfront home for a holiday sabbatical, since Stephen is on assignment in another part of the world. But Stephen returns home unexpectedly. It seems he was somewhere he wasn’t supposed to be, again, and his employer has grounded him. While Jenny doesn’t understand Stephen’s lack of compassion for her situation, he can’t understand her obsession about her looks. When Jenny, in an attempt to help Stephen out, announces to his boss that she's his fiance, a whirlwind fake courtship starts. But Jenny soon finds herself falling for the renegade photographer who’d rather spend his time in the wilds of the jungle th…
