My Word of the Year

I'm a day late! Apologies. But not sure anyone is reading this blog anyway. :)

So my WOTY is:

Renew!

Dictionary.com defines it several ways:

1. To begin or take up again

2. To restore or replenish

3. To revive or reestablish

I'm viewing my WOTY as a spiritual renewal. Not that God has every left me. But I'm to be reminded that He never leaves us. His spirit within us is always renewing us to be the person He wants us to be.

We have continual renewal through Him. I tend to forget that. When I worry, I'm forgetting that He is faithful. When I choose a wrong path, I'm forgetting to look to Him for the way to go. When I say things I shouldn't I'm forgetting to wait for His words.

The list can go on and on.

Psalm 51:10New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God,
And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

So, this is where I'll live in 2015.

What about you? Do you have a word?

Word of the Year

It's 2015---Any resolutions?

A lot of people talk about how they don't make any resolutions because they never keep them. Like 1 day into the New Year and they're done--broken.

I know the feeling.

So, a  lot of those same people now pick a 'word of the year.' I really like this. I've done this in the past. I've had people ask me how you get your word for the year. The simplest way, in my opinion, is that the word will settle in your spirit. It will feel right and give you a peace.

Have you done this before? Do you have a word for 2015?

Or if you have resolutions, that's awesome, too.

I'll be posting my word on Monday.

How about you? Will you join me?
