Rich in Hope--Coming November 2014

Book 2 of the Richness in Faith series is coming soon--and I'm VERY excited. Jenny and Stephen's story is one of hope-something we all  need at one time or another.

Blurb--
When beautiful underwear model, Jenny Harris, is scarred from a botched facial surgery she finds herself distraught and unsure. Her best friend, Katherine, offers her wildlife photographer brother’s waterfront home for a holiday sabbatical, since Stephen is on assignment in another part of the world. But Stephen returns home unexpectedly. It seems he was somewhere he wasn’t supposed to be, again, and his employer has grounded him.  While Jenny doesn’t understand Stephen’s lack of compassion for her situation, he can’t understand her obsession about her looks. When Jenny, in an attempt to help Stephen out, announces to his boss that she's his fiance, a whirlwind fake courtship starts. But Jenny soon finds herself falling for the renegade photographer who’d rather spend his time in the wilds of the jungle than in civilization. Will Jenny’s new perspective on life give her the hope she’s been searching for or will it only lead to broken dreams and a broken heart?

Book Review-Running Lean-Diana Sharples

When I started this book, I really didn't have an idea of how it would end. Would it be the 'tied up in a pretty bow' ending? Or would it be a sad ending? Diana Sharples did an amazing job with the book. The ending was perfect! Of course I'm not going to tell you the ending--you have to read. This was a great Y/A book with issues that so many teens face. I've personally not dealt with these issues, but I felt Stacey's struggle--and Calvin's as he tried to help her. This is a book I would recommend. Well written, characters that act true to their situations. Passion, heartbreak, sadness, joy--yeah, it's all there.

When you cause me to cry in the airport while waiting on my plane--I say you've done a great job as a writer. Well written, Diana!!

What I Love-Reading

We all have something we really enjoy doing. Maybe more than 1 thing.

There may be several things you really enjoy.

One of my favorite pastimes is reading. I love the way it lets me escape into another world, read about other characters and bask in somebody else's joy or whatever may be going on.

Right now I'm reading a book I am thrilled with.

   The Soul of The Rose

I'm talking about this book whenever I have the chance. Because that's what spreads the word of a great book. People talking about it.

I'll be posting more about why I love this book. The first thing I'll say is the writing is enduring and lyrical. The way Ruth Trippy puts words together is amazing. The Soul of the Rose is a historical novel, and Ruth has the perfect voice for this.

What book have you been talking up lately?
